The Story of an Artist

This series includes 4 showcases, each featuring performances by 6 local artists. The events offer a mix of poetry, singing, rap, and instrumental music, all with a relaxed and thoughtful atmosphere.

The Story of an Artist follows themes that many artists face-feeling lost, belonging, and finding yourself. Each evening showcases poets that evoke an emotional pull; singers who provide a sense of soul and compassion; rappers who exemplify elite lyricism; and beats that will move the audience.

Performances include:

• Poets who offer emotional depth

• Singers who bring warmth and feeling

• Rappers with strong, thoughtful lyrics

• Beats that create a steady, engaging rhythm

A catered Haitian meal is served during intermission, giving the audience time to pause, eat, and connect.
