Event Details
Accordionist Mattias Kaufmann and pianist Hua Ye met through a shared passion for world music that transcends the boundaries of classical and jazz traditions. Together, they explore a rich palette of global sounds — from the intricate modes of Greek traditional music to the passionate expressions of Argentinian tango, and from evocative neoclassical textures to their own original compositions.
Blending improvisation with cultural storytelling, they are shaping a unique musical language that they dubbed as “Boston Folk” — a genre-fluid conversation between cultures, rooted in tradition yet constantly evolving. Their collaboration invites audiences on a journey through soundscapes that are at once intimate, expansive, and borderless.

July 15 – September 27
This exhibit features artists who amplify the botanical world, inviting us to see plants as vital to our emotional, ecological, and cultural lives. Blending art and science, it honors botanical illustration while exploring new creative directions. By making the small monumental, the exhibit encourages us to slow down, look closely, and reflect on our connection to nature.

Every year in the Fall artists of Fort Point open their studios to the public. Join us for a weekend of art! Explore the historic waterfront warehouses that are home to painters, sculptors, ceramicists, jewelers, performance artists, printmakers, book artists, photographers, and more. Meet local artists and craftspeople, and get a behind-the-scenes look at where Boston artists create their work. Find established artists, and discover new emerging talents. Stroll, ponder, and browse. Buy original art from the people who make it.
Visitors to Open Studios can tour artists’ studios in 4 artist buildings in the Fort Point neighborhood, as well as galleries and pop-up exhibit venues. All buildings are in easy walking distance of each other. Free participatory art-making activities for all ages will take place on Saturday and Sunday. Performance and special events are also part of this year’s Open Studios.

Group Trio Coro explores the emotional extremes of the piano trio
Event Details
Mendelssohn’s Piano Trio No. 2 dazzles with lyrical warmth and Romantic brilliance, while Shostakovich’s Piano Trio No. 2 plunges into haunting depths, reflecting the turmoil and grief of wartime Russia. Together, these works offer a powerful journey through light and darkness. “Coro” means “choir” in Italian, and “Trio Coro” extends the meaning into “three instruments singing together.” Founded in 2021, pianist Hua Ye (Music Director for Harbor Harmonies concert series)led the debut concert at the Boston landmark venue Faneuil Hall.

Lucid Ground
Form as Presence, Not Proposition
-Curated by Deborah Barlow
(Founder Pell Lucy Artist Collective)
The Fort Point Arts Community (FPAC) is pleased to present Lucid Ground, a new exhibition by the Pell Lucy artist collective. Bringing together artists from across the U.S. and abroad, the show highlights the Pell Lucy conviction that visual language is lucid, grounded, and inherently potent—an intelligence that arises from presence rather than proposition.
In a moment saturated with signals and interpretations, Lucid Ground turns our attention back to the vitality of form itself. The art in this exhibit is not illustrative or declarative; it forgoes the explanatory in favor of direct encounter. Instead of offering messages to decipher, these works invite viewers into a slower, more contemplative mode of looking. Matter, gesture, and structure hold the stage. Each piece unfolds through its own material logic, encouraging viewers to stay with what emerges—without hurry, without prescription.
For years the Pell Lucy collective has explored how non-narrative, materially attuned practices can open
portals into perception, attention, and the not-yet-named. Lucid Ground extends this inquiry, offering vivid
evidence that the language of form—quiet, resonant, insistently alive—remains limitless in its dimensionality.

The Fort Point Arts Community (FPAC) is delighted to host our neighbors, Artist For Humanity.
Since 1991, Artists for Humanity (AFH) has worked to bridge social and economic divides in Boston by placing creative power directly into the hands of young people. For decades, AFH has provided under-resourced teens with paid, professional art and design employment. These opportunities continue to foster self-sufficiency, skills, and empower teens through mentorship and real-world creative projects.
As we celebrate our 35th anniversary, we look back on more than three decades of fostering the next generation of artists, designers, and changemakers. The impact of this work is reflected not only in the skills teens develop, but in the confidence and perspective they carry forward into their futures.

Event Details
The Soul of Epirus is a program rooted in Traditional Greek music that brings together two Grammy-nominated composer-performers: Epirus-born laouto virtuoso Vasilis Kostas and Cypriot percussionist George Lernis. Grounded in the soulful clarinet traditions of Epirus and enriched by the improvisatory language of jazz, their collaboration bridges village melodies with contemporary compositional voices. Featuring the laouto alongside Mediterranean hand percussion, the program unfolds through swelling rhythms and deeply expressive melodies shaped by centuries of oral tradition. Together, they honor ancestral roots while crafting a vibrant, cross-cultural musical narrative for today’s global stage.

FLOAT takes its animating spirit from Mary Oliver’s poem “The Ponds,” in which the poet wishes “to be willing / to be dazzled / to cast aside the weight of facts // and maybe even / to float a little / above this difficult world.” Conceived as a vivid, liberating embrace for the community, the exhibition offers a deliberate sanctuary from the heaviness of contemporary life — a spark of joy to carry visitors from summer into fall.
The five artists interpret colors, shapes, and textures drawn from the natural world: petals caught in a breeze, shells swirling in surf, the colors of sunset captured in a jar, a tangle of clouds. United by a penchant for abstraction and movement, they diverge in their choices of material and process.
Together, their work makes a case for joy as serious matter — not escape from the world but a way to be fully in it. To float is to be buoyed, to give weight over to something larger and trust it to hold you. FLOAT offers that suspension: a room to breathe in, to wander, to let color and form do their quiet, expansive work.

Distillations is a juried show of FPAC members that gathers together works emerging from a process of reduction—of boiling down, filtering through, and clarifying experience until only its most resonant elements remain. Like the alchemical act from which the exhibition borrows its title, each artist represented here engages in a practice of refinement: separating signal from noise, essence from excess, memory from distraction.
Artists: Floberlee Antoine, Michael Benari, Steve Bennet, Resa Blatman, Christine Bodnar, Michael Bourque, Cori Champagne, Vincenzo Marcello Cinque, Miranda Comstock, Michelle Davis, Melissa Davenport, J.S. Dykes, David Covert, Pam Kainz, C.J. Threads of Tea, a pop-up exhibition featuring new works by Siyi Yuan, will be on view at FPAC Art Space from July 15–17, 2026. An opening reception will be held on July 15, 5pm-8pm.
Working across sculpture, installation, photography, video, and mixed
media, Siyi Yuan explores tea as a vessel of cultural memory,
examining the relationships between labor, landscape, and identity.
Drawing from field research in tea-growing regions across China, her
practice reflects on the rituals, histories, and personal experiences
embedded within the tradition of tea.
Rather than documenting tea culture, Yuan transforms collected
materials and lived experiences into immersive works that consider
how memory is carried through everyday gestures and inherited
practices. Threads of Tea brings together a selection of recent
works that invite viewers to reflect on the enduring connections
between people, place, and cultural tradition.

Working Coast – Below the Line brings together three local artists that explore the Northeast coastal culture of New England as a form of craft. Centering maritime labor —the exhibition considers how histories of labor are shaped with and by the ocean’s changing landscape.
Situating the coast as both workshop and archive, the works draw on materials such as weathered tools, drifting buoys, and tide-worn surfaces to evoke a culture influenced by labor and ecological forces. Through these material traces and embodied practices, the exhibition reflects on how craft, the body, and environment intersect in the making of the working coast.

FLOAT is a show about creativity, liberation, and radical joy.
The five artists in FLOAT make work that is beautiful despite the heaviness of our current moment. Join curator Robin Hauck and four of them — Eva Lundsager, Carly Glovinski, Jo Lobdell, and Adria Arch — for a conversation about the role of nature in their work, and their specific focus on process, materiality and craft.
What does it mean to make work that floats when life feels so heavy? How does the natural world shape a practice — and what can that teach us about attention? What happens to painting when it leaves the flat wall behind? And which craft traditions run underneath the work?
