The Artist Building at 300 Summer is a self-governing artist-owned live-work cooperative for visual artists in downtown Boston, in the heart of the vibrant Fort Point neighborhood. Founded and sponsored by FPAC, the Artist Building opened in 1995 and allows visual artists a unique opportunity to live, work, and collaborate in this premier location steps away from the Fort Point Channel and Boston Harbor.

 

The cooperative, housed in an 1898 former wool warehouse, is structured in a limited-equity format to keep the 47 live-work primary residences at below market rate over time.
