About the Artist
Maggie Connors’ paintings and drawings are made of water-based media on canvas, wood or prepared paper. Part of her process involves creating three dimensional clay sculpture. The act of creating sculpture helps her visualize and then paint a two dimensional image.

Biographical Information
She received her M.F.A. from the Rinehart School of Sculpture at the Maryland Institute, College of Art in 1997 where she was the recipient of the Graduate Merit Fellowship and a nominee for the Joan Mitchell Foundation Grant. When Maggie relocated to Fort Point her work shifted from sculpture to painting. In 2003 she was an artist in residence at the Vermont Studio Center. Maggieís work has been written about in the Boston Globe and the Boston Herald.

Maggie participates in the Fort Point Arts Community annual open studio tour. She has shown in Maryland and New England and her work is in various private collections.
