Lenore Tenenblatt shows a selection of sculpture, both wall-mounted and freestanding, assembled from deteriorated wood bucket and barrel parts, metal, ceramic and glass findings. They resonate her interest in the quality of deteriorated surfaces and the marks left on them over time. She has integrated photography and sculpture with scenes from her Asian experiences, primarily of Shanghai, China. Also shown are recent prints, primarily monotype prints with a series of Truro, MA views and a series off the works of Milton Avery.
Lenore organized ìTime and Space ñ 7 Fort Point Artists Celebrate the MacDowell Centennialî in September, 2007 at the FPAC Gallery. She conceived and participates in the installation ìThe Next 100 Yearsî in the entry of Midway Studios at 15 Channel Center St. She is a graduate of the Boston Museum School and has had residencies at the MacDowell Colony, the Millay Colony and a residency in London at Chisenhale Art Place. She has shown at several New England galleries.
