“My multi-exposure images are composed in the camera and shot with medium format film. This visual language can bend light beams, mangle bridges or explore a serene sweeping landscape.” – Kathy Chapman 2012

“Kathy Chapman has developed an innovative way to display movement, change, and the passage of time. Her multi-exposure works allow us to see, in a single photograph, the subjects as if we were walking past, through, or around them.
She accomplishes this by capturing, on a single negative, several exposures from different points-of-view.  Through this technique, we ‘experience the event’ in a way that is impossible to capture with one shot.”
